Raw Carrot Hummus Recipe

If you love traditional hummus you will enjoy this raw carrot hummus too! I am using organic carrots, tahini, limes, garlic and a few spices to create this very healthy and light hummus that is great for your body and a delight for your tastebuds.
Raw carrot hummus is very easy to make and it does not have the fat calories of chickpeas and higher amounts of olive oil you find in traditional hummus.
Enjoy it with your favorite crackers or fresh vegetable sticks!
Great for: raw, heart healthy, low cholesterol, healthy snack, low calorie, vegan
Ingredients:
- 8 medium organic carrots, cut into medium chunks
- 6 tablespoons organic raw tahini
- Juice from 1-2 limes
- 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, peeled
- 1 teaspoon celtic sea salt
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Directions:
Process carrots, tahini, olive oil and garlic first in a food processor. Then add the remaining ingredients and process until smooth. You may find that you like this raw hummus better than most chickpea-based hummus you have tried!
