Green Chile Wonton Crisps

Green chiles used for these delicious wonton crisps

Small wonton wrappers stuffed with chopped green chiles and grated Monterey Jack cheese.

This recipe serves 6


*12 wonton wrappers
*10 serrano or jalapeno chiles
*1 cup of grated Monterey Jack cheese (use Daiya cheese for vegan version)
*canola oil


1. First, mix chopped green chiles with grated cheese and place about a tablespoon of the mixture (or less) in the middle of the wonton wrapper. Seal the edges with your finger using a little bit of water.

2. Fry the green chile crisps over medium heat in oil that is deep enough to cover most of the wonton until browned.

3. Serve hot with guacamole or salsa.

These are yummy and always a hit. They are a little time consuming and a bit messy to make so allow plenty of time - but you'll see it's so worth the effort!
